SPIEF and EEF presentation at Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce

On January 25, 2016 a seminar on overcoming trade barriers between Russia and the EU took place at the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce for Russia and Belarus. The event concluded with a reception to celebrate the New Year. Among those participating in the seminar were the Russian Ambassador to Belgium, the Belarusian Ambassador to Belgium, the Belgian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, the Belgian Ambassador to Armenia, Belarus, the Russian Federation, and Uzbekistan, representatives of the Russian Federal Customs Service, and members of the Belgian business community. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Belgium Alexander Romanov invited those attending the seminar to participate in the 20th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will take place from June 16–18, 2016.

As part of the event, the ambassadors gave New Year’s presentations to mark the successes of the previous year, and there were also special presentations on projects and development activities taking place in Russia’s Far East, including a description of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and the Eastern Economic Forum. The presentation drew a strong response from the audience and received attention in the Belgian press.
