Pavilion F, conference hall F20 (2nd floor)

The global trend of implementing an economic model for the institution of national theatre has prompted a profound reconsideration of the theatre's role as a catalyst for transforming the cultural fabric of Russia's regions, thereby necessitating a departure from traditional approaches to theatre management. In 2023, the theatre assumes a central position in the development of urban spaces, heralding a new era. Concurrently, national theatres in Russia and partner states face the dual challenge of preserving the rich traditions of theatrical arts while establishing a management framework aligned with the contemporary business model. The multinational Russian stage is now undergoing a personnel overhaul within the field of theatre management. How can contemporary theatres in Russia and its partner states emulate the operational restructuring strategies employed by prominent entities in the business community? In the realm of national theatre art, what are the most impactful approaches to cultivating the project-based framework? Is it feasible to uphold the distinctive essence of national theatre while incorporating insights from the classical school of modern management, drawing from the wealth of international experience?
