Development of Critical Information Infrastructure: Threats and Prospects

16 Jun , 10:30–11:30
Building Technological Sovereignty
Congress Centre, zone A, 3rd floor, conference hall A

The contribution of Russian Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) enterprises is approximately 50% of GDP and up to 80% of the country's exports. Digital technologies enhance the efficiency of key sectors, such as healthcare, industry, communications, transport, energy, finance and the media. The smooth operation and high quality of the CII play a crucial role in enabling efficient logistics, financial growth and fostering interaction among market players. However, these benefits can disappear if the CII is targeted by cyber-attacks or other external influences. The Russian CII faces unprecedented risks, and ensuring its sustainability and secure development has become a matter of national security. How can we balance the interests of development and security in the current environment? Are solution developers and CII actors prepared to keep up with the pace of digitalization and the advancement of technological independence? What can Russia provide to its partners from friendly nations to safeguard their information infrastructure?
