In the spring of 2023, the issue of mandatory disclosure of non-financial reporting by large Russian companies gained renewed momentum for discussion and practical implementation. This once again confirmed Russia's interest in transitioning towards a sustainable model of economic development. The focus has shifted towards establishing trust, not only from public authorities but also from investors and foreign trading partners. However, the Western standards of information disclosure, which have been widely used by businesses in the past, failed to fully consider Russia's economic interests and national characteristics, as well as those of Eastern, Asian, African, and Latin American countries. At the same time, the current geopolitical landscape is marked by a shift from globalization to regionalization of economic relations. The reconfiguration of trade relations necessitates the harmonization of regulations and approaches to selecting trading partners. The establishment of a shared system for Russia and friendly nations to assess "sustainable" production and supply chains holds significant potential for enhancing mutual trade turnover. What role can Russia and its key partners in the EAEU and BRICS play in this process? Can non-financial reporting become another 'language of communication' between Russian businesses and counterparties from friendly jurisdictions? What infrastructure is required to facilitate the exchange of data on corporate non-financial reporting between trading partners?

Chief Executive Officer, National ESG-Alliance

In 2013 was appointed Dean of SKOLKOVO Business School and from 2016 to 2021 he was President of the Business School. Prior to this, he served as Deputy Mayor in the Moscow Government for economic policy.
Mr. Sharonov was born in Ufa in 1964. He graduated from Ufa State Aviation Technical University and the Russian Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation; holds a Ph.D. in sociological science. From 1989-1991 Mr. Sharonov was People’s Deputy of the USSR, and until 1996 was Chairman of the State Committee of the Russian Federation for Youth Affairs. Between 1996 and 2007 he served in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation as department head, deputy minister and state secretary. From 2007 through 2010 Mr. Sharonov was managing director and chairman of the Board of Directors of Troika Dialog Investment Company, and headed the investment banking business. Andrei is a Chairman of the Board of NefteTransService LLC, member of the Management Board of such companies as PJSC Sofkomflot, PJSC PhosAgro, JSC Medicina, EN+ GROUP IPJSC, PJSC Rosseti, Non-commercial organization Foundation for Development of the Center for Elaboration and Commercialization of New Technologies (Skolkovo Foudation).
By directive of the Moscow Mayor dated 22 December 2010, Mr. Sharonov was appointed Deputy Mayor in the Moscow Government for Economic Policy, Chairman of Regional Energy Commission. Mr. Sharonov headed the Executive Committees of Moscow Urban Forum and Open Innovations Forum. Mr. Sharonov was awarded the Aristos prize for “Independent Director” in 2009, the national award “Director of the Year – 2009” for “Independent Director” and the international award “Person of the Year – 2012” for “Business Reputation”. He also received special award for personal contribution to the development of corporate management in 2016 from the Independent Directors Association and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. Mr. Sharonov was awarded the Order of Honour and is an Honoured Economist of the Russian Federation. He also received President's Letters of Gratitude in 2003, 2008 and 2018.

Chief Sustainability Officer and Member of the Executive Team, RUSAL, one of the largest global producers of aluminium, including low carbon aluminum (LCA) marketed under ALLOW brand. Irina is an accomplished professional with a 30-year leadership experience in both public and private sectors varying from mass media, banking, fast moving consumer goods to metallurgy. She was instrumental to have set up such platforms as Digital, Low Carbon and Science-Based Economy Taskforce of the Foreign Investors Advisory Council (FIAC) under the auspices of the Russian Prime Minister, Sustainable Business Lab at SKOLKOVO Moscow School of Management, ‘Green Brands League’ under the auspices of the Russian Quality System (Roskachestvo), and Commission on Business Ethics of the Russian Managers Association. Irina chairs Sustainability and ESG Committee of the Russian Managers Association, Environment and Climate Committee of the National ESG Alliance, and is a Vice President Sustainability in the Russian Business Ethics Network.

July 5, 2016: appointed Deputy Head of the Government’s Executive Office and Director of the Projects Department of the Government of the Russian Federation. From May 2018 to February 2020, he was the CEO of JSC Russian Export Center. On March 2 2020 Andrey Slepnev took office as a member of the Board (Minister) for Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
