Cyberphysical Space: Made in Russia

16 Jun , 09:00–10:00
Building Technological Sovereignty
Pavilion G, conference hall G1

Digital technology has become an integral part of our lives in recent years, and “phygital" (physical plus digital) trends are becoming a new growth area and a platform to showcase opportunities. Cyberphysical formats have confidently occupied niches in a wide range of industries, from economics and services to education and sports. In 2023, a team of Russian developers, alongside the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Kruzhok Movement of the National Technological Initiative, launched the creation of the world's first National Cyberphysical Platform. The platform includes a series of strategic mobile video games in popular genres, featuring phygital elements, with a focus on technologically advanced players. The project is unique in that the games serve as an entry point to technological education for school children, which helps interest them in science and engineering, and teaches them programming and other skills. This makes it possible for each participant to go from playing a mobile game to entering a technological innovation environment. What are the prospects for the development of the cyber and phygital sports industry in Russia? What foundations does Russia already have, and what potential niches can be occupied by domestic products? What measures are needed to increase investment in video games and Russian cybersport?
