Development Territories: Empowering Youth in Regional Advancement

17 Jun , 10:00–11:15
International Youth Economic Forum
Congress Centre, zone B, 2nd floor, conference hall B1

Young individuals serve as the driving force behind territorial development. A persistent challenge faced by regions is the retention of their youth, creating an environment conducive to growth, and providing opportunities for self-realization and skill enhancement. This forms a crucial aspect of state youth policies. In particular, border regions stretching from Kaliningrad to the Far East, as well as newly established territories within the Russian Federation, require special attention and support for young people. This endeavour involves collaboration between governmental authorities, development corporations, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, public figures, and cultural icons. It is vital to establish effective initiatives for patriotic education while creating avenues for local development. Guiding young individuals towards prioritized growth areas within the regions enables them to translate their ideas into tangible reality. What factors contribute to successful local development? Is there a universally applicable recipe that can be implemented across diverse regions? Which experiences in effectively engaging with young individuals can the regions share? Which specific areas should be prioritized for development to ensure comfortable living, working, and recreational conditions? How do educational and leisure projects targeting patriotic education among youth contribute to these objectives?
