Russian Higher Education: New Opportunities

15 Jun , 17:00–18:15
Building Technological Sovereignty
Congress Centre, zone B, 2nd floor, conference hall B2

In his address to the Federal Assembly, the Head of State made a number of conceptual proposals for the modernization of the higher education system, taking into account the best of the Soviet educational system and the experience of recent decades. The goals and tasks of all levels of professional education will be adjusted and each of them will be given its own place in the system of personnel training. As well as preserving fundamentality and interdisciplinarity, it is also important to ensure the rapid entrance of specialists into the labour market and the opportunity for their continuous professional development. What will the new structure of levels of vocational education and educational programmes look like? How will this system respond to the demands of the country's industrial, scientific and technological development? Will the Russian higher education system remain in sync with the international educational space? How can it be ensured that education and qualifications obtained in Russia are comparable and mutually recognized in Russia and abroad?
