Tourism is a key economic driver that contributes to sustainable regional development. Today, the Russian government and domestic businesses share the common goal of enhancing the quality of tourism services and infrastructure, and are also striving to create the highest standards of comfort, accessibility, and safety based on the demands and needs of people with extremely different incomes, including young people, individuals of other different ages and generations, and, of course, families with children. What is holding Russia back from implementing its national Tourism and Hospitality Industry project? What initiatives are businesses and the government taking to implement it? What new support mechanisms can businesses and the regions expect from the government? What kind of challenges will we have to respond to in the coming years?

1993: Co-founded MediaArts, one of Russia’s largest communication holdings, specialising in advertising and sports marketing in Russia, and managed it for 12 years;

2007 to 2014: President of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Organising Committee and the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Organising Committee;

2007 and 2011: elected Deputy of the State Duma (Member of the United Russia Party). First female Chairperson of State Duma Security and Anti-Corruption Committee in the history of Russia’s parliaments.

Most memorable acts for the Far East include: ban on drift fishing, ban on multiple border crossing by fishing vessels, compulsory registration of fishing facilities in the region where fishing is held, simplified call at the Far-Eastern ports for international cruise lines.

Maya Lomidze is a member of working groups of Government bodies, including the State Duma Committee on Tourism, the Public Council of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation
M.A.Lomidze regularly acts as a key expert in tourism and comments on all important events for the tourism industry for the media, including on leading TV channels, radio, electronic and printed publications.

Eugenio Preatoni

Eugenio Domenico Preatoni is a famous entrepreneur, born on May 23, 1983, the son of the famous Italian businessman Ernesto Preatoni, well known in the financial, banking, real estate and tourism markets.
The younger Preatoni is an expert in building a sales team capable of achieving impressive financial results, which have already exceeded US$1 billion over the course of Eugenio's career.
After studying at the renowned Milan Classical Liceo and the prestigious Bocconi University, Eugenio opened his first company in the fashion industry at the age of 22. After 3 years of successful business, Eugenio joined the family as a sales agent for Domina, where he achieved impressive success and rose to Sales Director responsible for Italy. A year later, Eugenio took the position of CEO and, subsequently, president of Domina Business.
He later joined the finance and real estate sector of the Domina Group, setting sales targets and creating financial products for the European markets. The next step was the position of CEO at Domina Vacanze SPA, a public company of the group engaged in the sale of timeshares. He completely restructured the company, giving a new perspective to the timeshare sector in Italy.
He then became CEO of Domina International, the holding company overseeing all of the Domina Group's tourism real estate activities, achieving record results in Europe and the Middle East. Eugenio's career in business has been marked by a relentless focus on customer care and customer satisfaction.
Eugenio enjoys many sports, including skiing, scuba diving and golf. He is also the patron of many tournaments and is involved in charitable activities.
As an entrepreneur, Eugenio pushes the boundaries and continues to develop the business started by the group's founder, his father, Ernesto Preatoni.
Currently, work is underway to transform the private company into a public company listed on the French stock market.
