The focus on digitalizing urban environments has long been under way in the world’s major cities: Paris, Shanghai, Moscow, and Dubai are all home to ‘smart’ car parks, lighting and video surveillance systems, and rubbish collection. All of this helps to make city life better and safer. Using new ‘smart’ tools means reducing average travel time, greenhouse gases and even mortality rates. According to forecasts by analysts, the potential for businesses stemming from the development of ‘smart cities’ will be valued at over USD 2 trillion by 2025. And as a result of the digitalization of the economy, Russia’s GDP may increase by 19 to 34%. Nowadays, intelligent systems are not just for big cities. The ‘smart city’ project – part of the national project entitled ‘Housing and the urban environment’ and the national programme entitled ‘The digital economy of the Russian Federation’ – has covered 209 cities and administrative centres with a population of more than 100,000 people. Russian and French companies are preparing to implement joint projects in this area. How is industrial transformation changing our cities and homes, and improving every aspect of our lives, from our health to living and working conditions? How can we ensure that the commercialization of innovative solutions is designed to bring benefits for society above all else? How can we make our cities energy secure, thus promoting sustainable economic development? Can we improve quality of life while still achieving the production figures we need? Why is international cooperation in both countries so important to achieve state objectives and fulfil promises made to citizens in the sphere of industrial development?

Philippe Pegorier has been President and General Director of Alstom Russia since January 2011. Alstom is a global leader in power generation, power transmission and rail infrastructure equipment and services. Mr. Pegorier started his career 30 years ago in Moscow after graduating from KEDGE Business School in Bordeaux. He subsequently held positions in the Ministry for the Economy and Finance of France in Paris, Teheran, Kiev and Moscow. He also served as diplomatic advisor to Christine Lagarde during her term as Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade of France. Philippe Pegorier holds the title of Knight of the Legion of Honour.

Born in 1957.
Graduated with honors from the faculty of automation and computer engineering of the Moscow Railway Transport Engineering Institute (MIIT).
In 1990 Viktor Vekselberg founded Renova, an asset management company. Mr. Vekselberg currently holds office as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Renova Group of companies.
In 1996 he founded SUAL Group and served as its President until 2003 when he eventually chaired the Board of Directors of the Group.
Chairman of the Management Board of OJSC Tumen Oil Company from 2002 until 2003. Member of the Board of Directors of TNK-BP from 2003 until 2013.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of United Company Rusal (UC Rusal) from 2007 until March 2012.

Emmanuel Quidet

Emmanuel Quidet graduated from the European Business School in Paris in 1985 and began his career in the French office of EY. Before joining the EY CIS in 1994, he worked eight years in Paris and one year in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. For more than two years during his work in Paris, he managed the company's operations in Africa and the Middle East.
Emmanuel is an audit partner at the French Business Center of EY CIS in Moscow. He is in charge of one of the most important Russian clients in the Moscow office.
In 1997, he co-founded the Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which he heads since 2007.
He also co-founded ‘Le Courrier de Russie’, a French-language newspaper which is published fortnightly in Russia with a circulation of 25,000 copies.
In addition, he is one of the founders of Samusocial Moskva (2004), which is headed by Dr. Xavier Emmanuelli and Professor Leonid Roshal.
In 2012, he was awarded the Order of the Legion of Honor.
In 2015, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov awarded him a Badge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation "For Contribution to International Cooperation".

Patrick Pouyanne

Born on June 24, 1963.
A graduate of École Polytechnique and a Chief Engineer of France’s Corps des Mines, Mr. Pouyanné held, between 1989 and 1996, various administrative positions in the Ministry of Industry and other cabinet positions (technical advisor to the Prime Minister – Édouard Balladur – in the fields of the Environment and Industry from 1993 to 1995, Chief of staff for the Minister for Information and Aerospace Technologies – François Fillon – from 1995 to 1996). In January 1997, he joined TOTAL’s Exploration & Production division, first as Chief Administrative Officer in Angola, before becoming Group representative in Qatar and President of the Exploration and Production subsidiary in that country in 1999. In August 2002, he was appointed President, Finance, Economy and IT for Exploration & Production. In January 2006, he became Senior Vice President, Strategy, Business Development and R&D in Exploration & Production and was appointed a member of the Group’s Management Committee in May 2006. In March 2011, Mr. Pouyanné was appointed Deputy General Manager, Chemicals, and Deputy General Manager, Petrochemicals. In January 2012, he became President, Refining & Chemicals and a member of the Group’s Executive Committee.

On October 22, 2014, he became Chief Executive Officer of TOTAL S.A. and Chairman of the Group’s Executive Committee. On May 29, 2015, he was appointed by the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting as director of TOTAL S.A. for a three-year term. The Board of Directors of TOTAL appointed him as Chairman of the Board of Directors as of December 19, 2015. Mr. Pouyanné thus became the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TOTAL S.A. Following the renewal of Mr. Pouyanné's directorship at the Shareholders' Meeting on June 1, 2018 for a three-year period, the Board of Directors renewed Mr. Pouyanné's term of office as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for a period equal to that of his directorship. Mr. Pouyanné is also the Chairman of the Association United Way - L'Alliance since June 2018, having accepted this office as TOTAL S.A.'s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He has also been a member of the Board of Directors of Ecole Polytechnique (since September 2018), of the Institut Polytechnique of Paris (since September 2019) and of the Association Française des Entreprises Privées (French Association of private companies) (since 2015).

Jean-Pascal Tricoire joined Schneider Electric in 1986. He was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in 2006 and named Chairman & CEO in April 2013.
His career at Schneider Electric has developed largely outside France in operational functions in Italy, China, South Africa and USA. Within the General Management, he served as Vice Executive President of the International Operating Division from 2002 before being appointed in 2004 Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Moreover, Jean-Pascal is President of the France-China Committee since 2009.
Jean-Pascal holds a degree in Electronic Engineering and a MBA.

Frederic Oudea

Frédéric Oudéa is a graduate of the École Polytechnique and the École Nationale d’Administration. From 1987 to 1995, he held a number of posts in the French senior civil service, Audit Department of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of the Economy and Finance, Budget Ministry and Cabinet of the Ministry of the Treasury and Communication. He joined Societe Generale in 1995 and went from being Deputy Head to Head of the Corporate Banking arm in London. In 1998, he became Head of Global Supervision and Development of Equities. Appointed Deputy Chief Financial Officer of the Societe Generale Group in May 2002. Appointed Chief Financial Officer in January 2003. Appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Group in 2008 and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale from May 2009 to May 2015. In May 2015, the Board of Directors separated the offices of Chairman of the Board of Directors and of Chief Executive Officer, and appointed Frédéric Oudéa Chief Executive Officer.

Dmitry Korobkov (born 26 January 1969; Moscow) is an angel investor, primarily interested in marketing and advertising technologies (MAdTech), as well as Big Data and AI; his list of investments includes companies, funds and accelerators in Silicon Valley and UK.
Founder and Chairman of ADV – marketing communications group representing Havas and Interpublic Group of Companies in Russia. Dmitry is an alumni of Moscow State Institute of International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a degree in marketing, history and economics. He speaks three languages, among which are English, German and French. In 2007 he opened “ADV – Marketing Communications” academic department in association with MGIMO, where he is still Head of Department.
In 2016 he initiated the first MAdTech Contest in Russia “Go to AdTech”. Married, has five children.
