It is clear that any local development initiatives need to involve young people. Today, young people are offered numerous opportunities to build their skills in the social sector and to work for the benefit of their local community. This session will examine best practices in highlighting social initiatives by students, including those which have been developed to help achieve national priorities and which are already being implemented by regional administrations. What role can youth social entrepreneurship play in helping to achieve national and sustainable development goals? What needs to be done to build an ecosystem to develop youth social entrepreneurship? What have been some of the most successful programmes and projects so far in developing youth social entrepreneurship?

Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Head of the Committee for Social Entrepreneurship of OPORA RUSSIA, member of the Expert Council of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives in Innovation, Head of the Federal Acceleration Program for Social Entrepreneurship “Social Innovations”.
Since 2003 he has been actively involved in the development of the ecosystem for social entrepreneurship in the Russian Federation. For the first time the technology of accelerating socially significant entrepreneurial projects was developed jointly with the Omsk Social Innovation Center in 2011–2013. Subsequently highly customized accelerating technology has become the basis for the Federal Acceleration Program for Social Entrepreneurship “Social Innovations” that is being implemented in Moscow city, Moscow, Rostov and Perm regions. Since 2015 he has been developing incubation programs for non-profit organizations conductive to strengthening their financial stability and their inclusion in social services market.
As the Head of a working group under the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation which evaluates practices of Social Innovation Centers and Resource Centers for non-profit organizations, Sergey is actively involved in the development of guidelines for improving the social entrepreneurship and non-profit organizations support network.

During the last 5 years, she has become in Russia a recognized expert in areas such as university reputation and strategy, employability and universities, alumni affairs, volunteering, internationalization, marketing & PR, and fundraising. She handles assignments on developing the organizational culture at universities and improving their strategic management system effectiveness.
She speaks regularly all over Russia at conferences, forums and other events dedicated to the development of Higher Education.
In addition to that, she has been since 2010 Project Director of the Volga Foundation, which contributes to the revival of culture and volunteering.
