Internet users are getting pop-up ads for things they talked about recently, and new social media sites automatically access and search people’s contacts. It is therefore essential to raise awareness of artificial intelligence. What should people understand about artificial intelligence, and what benefits and risks are associated with machine learning? What possibilities can artificial intelligence offer in terms of business planning and training? What progress might be made in the future through the use of artificial intelligence? Does a golden age beckon for humanity, or will we inevitably see an AI takeover?

Boris Nuraliev

Born in Moscow in 1958. Married with three children.
Graduated with honours from the Moscow Institute of Economics and Statistics (MESI) with a degree in Automated Control System in 1980. Holds a PhD in Economics, dissertation on the automation of system design for computer processing of economic information.
Worked at MESI as an engineer since 1980, then started working as a junior researcher. Worked at the Scientific Research and Design Institute for Industrial Technology of the Central Statistical Administration of the USSR (now Statinform of the Federal State Statistics Service) as a senior researcher, sector manager, department manager and head engineer since 1987.
Headed up 1C Company, which specialized in the development, distribution and support for computer programs, in 1991. 1C is most famous for 1C:Enterprise programs, which are used by millions of employees in commercial and public organizations every day in order to increase management and accounting. The company is also famous for products developed for home computers and the sphere of education.
1C:Enterprise includes integrated ERP-class solutions for asset management of industrial, commercial and service organizations; products for financial management and accounting of holding companies and individual organizations; products for the organization of electronic document management, electronic document exchange between organizations and delivery of electronic reporting to regulatory authorities; payroll and personnel management; for the automation of state and municipal agencies; and a variety of industry-specific solutions developed by 1C, its partners and independent organizations. Since 2013, 1C has been included in the Forbes Russia’s 200 largest private companies rating.

Sidorenko Elina - Doctor of Law, Professor of MGIMO University (Moscow State Institute of International Relations under Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia), Head of MGIMO Digital economy centre.
A graduate of the Stavropol State University (now — The North-Caucasus Federal University) in 2001. In 2002 she successfully defended her thesis and in 2013 she successfully defended her thesis for the degree of Doctor of Law. Since 2013 she is Professor of MGIMO University, since 2017 she is the Head of MGIMO Digital economy centre.
Research interests: financial security, digital economy, anti-corruption policy, laundering of the proceeds from crime and financing of terrorism.
She is the author of 150 scientific works.
Sidorenko Elina is actively working as an expert. She is a member of the Expert Council of the RF President's Administration on anti-corruption, the Head of the Working Group of the State Duma of RF Federal Gathering on cryptocurrency circulation risk assessment, the Head of the new digital technologies Expert Council of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. Participates in the development of legislation on cryptocurrency circulation regulation in Russia.
