In the face of new challenges, it is crucial for women to develop international cooperation in various parts of society. Joint women’s initiatives in the economy, science, culture, and charity are on the rise. Women’s role in trade and economic relations is expanding. Support for progressive ideas that are being implemented with the active involvement of women provides an impetus for the development of interesting areas in technology and the opening of new markets, and is a motivating factor for numerous start-up entrepreneurs. How can the Eurasian Women’s Forum and women’s international associations work together to promote initiatives to empower women around the world? What projects are most in demand? How can women’s associations contribute to rolling out women’s projects to international markets?

Biography
Dr. Victoria V. Panova is the Vice-President for International Relations of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) and Advisor to the Director of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies. During the Russian Chairmanship in BRICS in 2020 she also held the post of the Scientific Supervisor of the BRICS Expert Council and Managing Director of the National Committee of BRICS Research. For the period of March 2016 – March 2017 she was the Dean of the Oriental Studies Institute of the FEFU. Prior to that she occupied the position of the Associate Professor and Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations and Foreign Policy at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University MFA Russia). She holds a PhD in history of IR from MGIMO-University. Her research focuses on the club governance (G8/G7, G20, BRICS), new technologies and internet governance, sustainable development as well as global governance.
For her community activities she acts as Women 20 (W20) sherpa for Russia (since 2015) and head of the Primorsky Region Women Union of Russia (since 2018). She is member of the governing board of the Russian International Studies Association, expert of the Russian International Affairs Council and member of the CyberBRICS Advisory Board.
For the period of 2003 - 2014 she served as Regional Director for Russia of the G8 Research Group based at the University of Toronto (Canada). She was member of the National Working Group of the Advisory Council of the Civil G8 project, led by Ella A. Pamfilova in 2005-2007; part of the Common European Security project initiated by High Commissioner J.Solana in 2009. Since the Russian BRICS Chairmanship in 2015 she is also co-chair for the Civil BRICS process initiated by the Russian civil society; member of the BRICS Think Tank Council.
Dr. Panova publishes in variety of national and international journals. She was visiting fellow (and now life member) at University of Cambridge, London School of Economics and Political Sciences, BRICS Policy Center, PUC-Rio. Dr. Panova is also an alumna of the Asian Forum on Global Governance organized by ORF (India) and Bucerius School/Zeit Stiftung (Germany).

Galina Karelova

Born on 29 June 1950 in the city of Nizhnyaya Salda, Sverdlovsk Region. In 1972, she graduated from the Sergei Kirov Urals Polytechnic Institute with a degree in engineering and economics. PhD in Economics and DSc in Social Sciences, professor. For 20 years she was engaged in teaching and research. Author of over 150 papers on economic, social and political issues.
Since 1990 – delegate, Deputy Speaker (1992–1993) of the Sverdlovsk Regional Parliamentarian Council.
1994–1996 – Deputy of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chairperson of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy.
1996–1997 – Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Subcommittee on International Humanitarian, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs.
Since 1997 – Deputy and since 2000 – First Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of the Russian Federation.
April 2003 – March 2004 – Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation on Social Affairs.
April 2004 – December 2007 – Chairperson of the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation.
On 2 December 2007, she was elected a deputy to the Fifth State Duma, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes.
On 4 December 2011, she was elected a deputy to the Sixth State Duma, First Deputy Chair of the State Duma Committee on Labour, Social Policy and Veteran Affairs.
Since 22 September 2014, she is a Representative of the executive authority of the Voronezh Region in the Federation Council. Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, member of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy. Initiator and drafter of more than 40 laws, including laws on social protection. Full State Counsellor 1st Class of the Russian Federation. Decorated with state orders and medals.

Born 25 of April 1983 in Moscow.
In 2006 Anna finished Academy of Labor and Social Relations, majoring in finance and credit.
Ph.D. in Economics.
In 2017 Anna enrolled in Moscow State University of Foreign Affairs, majoring in international economic relations.
Before 2015 Anna was engaged in the implementation of projects in the field of finance. Since 2008 was CEO and founder of the investment company Center Capital with an aggregate turnover of more than 40 billion rubles a year.
In 2015 Anna founded Global Rus Trade - the leading Russian platform for cross-border e-commerce.
Anna represents Russian federation in the working group on the digital economy of the BRICS Business Council.
She is a member of the Coordination Council and Chairman of the Committee on transfrontier e-commerce "Business Russia".
In 2015 Anna was nominated from Russia as a Woman Icon for achievements in the field of business at the APEC Gender Forum "Women as an engine of inclusive growth".
Since 2018 she represents Russia in the CICA Business Council.
She has acknowledgments for contribution to the development of SMEs from the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and for active public activities from the President of the Russian Federation.

Nataliya Zaiser

Born on November 25, 1975 in Chelyabinsk. Education: graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, faculty of “Foreign Literature”, PHD degree in International Philology. Nataliya speaks fluent English. Russian and German are mother tongues.
Since 2010 Nataliya Zaiser has been taking an active part in developing relationships and establishing business communication with African countries. In 2011 she was the editor-in-chief of “The World of Africa” magazine. Since March 2016 Nataliya has been the Head of Africa Business Initiative, created with the support of the business as a platform for the humanitarian, economic and legal expertise, aimed at the reconstruction and strengthening of relations between Russia and Africa. The main goal of this organization - to unite the efforts in promoting and supporting the interests of Russian business in the framework of broader international cooperation on the territory of the African continent.
Nataliya Zaiser is also a Public Policy Advisor at Squire Patton Boggs Moscow office covering Russia, the Eurasian Union and Africa. She is a member of the firm’s Africa business group.
Over the last few years, Nataliya has been focusing on building new cross border opportunities across the firm, including a sensitive area of advising clients on sanctions applied by the US and Eurasian Union.
