In recent years, we have witnessed how environmental issues took a leading role in the development agenda. Nowadays, consumers consistently show preference towards responsible and eco efficient producers. The private sector faces a challenge to develop a responsible attitude towards the environment and use natural resources sparingly incorporating green approaches into its business activities. It has become clear that the only way forward is not to focus our attention only on tackling the ecological problems that already exist,but to prevent new ones from coming up. That can be achieved by developing and adopting break-through technologies aimed at lowering the carbon footprint and managing and recycling the waste – among other things. What role do green initiatives play in accomplishing climate goals? What can the state and the private sector do to help solve pressing environmental issues? What other measures should we take to protect the environment?

In 1998 – 2000 she worked in the Committee for Land Resources and Land Management of Roskomzem. In 2000 – 2001 she worked in the Federal State Institution "Land Cadastre Chamber". In 2001 – 2005 she held different positions, including the position of Deputy Head of Department in Roszemkadastr and in Rosnedvizhimost. In 2005 – 2011 she held various positions in the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, including the position of Deputy Head of Real Estate Department of the Ministry of Economic Development. In 2011 – 2012 – Deputy Head of Rosreestr. In 2012 – 2015 – Head of the Department of Land Policy, Property Relations and State Property of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. In 2015 – 2016 she worked as State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. By order of the Government of the Russian Federation of 11.10.2016 № 2141-r she was appointed Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation – Head of Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography. Victoria Abramchenko was awarded honorary certificates of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and certificate of acknowledgement of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation. Born on 31 January in Leningrad. Graduated from the Translation Department of the Faculty of Philology of Leningrad State University and then completed higher courses of the USSR KGB in Minsk.
1981-1998 – Worked his way up from an operations officer of the First Main Directorate of the USSR KGB to First Deputy Head of a directorate of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation. Had three extended overseas assignments in Nordic countries and Africa. Following the reorganisation of the KGB, he continued work in the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation and then in the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation.
August 1998 – Deputy Director of the FSB and Director of the FSB Department for Analysis, Forecasting and Strategic Planning.
15 November 1999 – Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. Colonel General in reserve.
28 March 2001 – Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation.
14 November 2005 – Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation.

Alexey Likhachev

Director General, State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM

Alexey Likhachev is Director General of ROSATOM. He assumed office in October 2016. Mr. Likhachev has since been responsible for overseeing the entire spectrum of the state corporation’s activities.
Before joining ROSATOM, Mr. Likhachev worked in the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, where he held a wide variety of leadership positions. He joined the ministry in 2007. He worked as an advisor to the Minister of Economic Development until 2008, in 2010 he was appointed Deputy Minister, and in February 2015 he was promoted to the position of First Deputy Minister of Economic Development.
Throughout his career, Mr. Likhachev held senior positions in other governmental bodies and public organizations as well. He was a member of the State Duma (the lower house of Russia’s parliamentary body), serving as Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Economic Policy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism (2000-2007). Previously, he worked as managing director of Social Industrial Insurance Company ‘Aval’ in Nizhniy Novgorod (1992-2000).
Mr. Likhachev graduated from Gorky State University and started his career as an engineer in the Gorky Research Institute of Instrumentation (1985-1987). In 1998 he graduated from the Economic Faculty of Nizhniy Novgorod State University with a Ph.D. in economics.
