Creative Business Forum

The material and spiritual values created in the past provide an opportunity for 'cultural tourism'. Additionally, they act as a resource base for a multitude of projects in the broadest field of creative industries. There is a gradual transition to effective use of cultural heritage sites. With the aim of boosting Russia's tourist appeal, increasing recognition of domestic brands, and creating a positive image of the country, the year 2022 has been declared the Year of Folk Art and Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia. Culture and heritage are becoming a development driver for the modern territories and cities far removed from the metropolitan areas. Alongside creating new sources of growth for the regional economies of the North, heritage contributes to another equally important task: the preservation of the indigenous Northern customs and traditions, their cultural code. How to combine the efforts of government, business, professional communities, civil society, and the private sector to preserve the heritage? What role do digital technologies and platforms play in preserving and promoting Russia's cultural diversity? How to form a digital ecosystem to store and transmit information, as well as generate content based on crafts, trades, and intangible cultural heritage, including epic and oral traditions of the indigenous peoples? How to protect a country's economic interests through the preservation and transmission of the cultural code?

Education
In 1998 graduated the Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO). One year later he defended his PhD in political science there.
Professional background
In 2003-2006, he was Director for Public and International Relations at the All-Russia Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM). In 2007-2012, he was at the leading positions in the United Russia party. In 2012-2013, he was First Deputy Executive Director of the Russian Geographical Society. In 2014 he helped to set up and headed the Con-nection charity foundation, the goal of which is to establish the sustainable system of assistance to the deafblind people in the Russian regions.
Member of the Expert Council at the Russian Government, Public Council of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, Council on Charity in Social Sphere at the Russian Government, a number of ministerial and inter-agency working groups. Since 2017 Dr. Polikanov presides the Executive Board of the Donors’ Forum. Member of the board of a number of NGOs, including the Board of Trustees of the “Lake Baikal” charity.
Dr Polikanov is the author of over 100 publications on international and European security issues, Russian foreign and domestic policy. He was also a top manager at the PIR Center, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Federal Social Security Fund of the Russian Federation.

Vadim Duda

In 1991, he received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Moscow Aviation Institute. In 2005, he earned an MBA in corporate finance, the American Institute of Business and Economics.
In 1984 the very first job was the Librarian assistant in the Moscow Aviation Institute Library.
Vadim Duda held senior positions in both Russian and international companies, with the focus on international relations, culture, IT and new media.
In 2012 – 2013 as Director of Information Policy and International Relations Department at Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation he launched federal state internet projects, like Culture Portal and National Electronic Library.
In 2013 – 2015 he was involved in the development of the Model Library Standard for modernization of municipal libraries launched several modern rural libraries.
From 2015 to 2018 Vadim Duda served as Director General of Rudomino All-Russia State Library for Foreign Literature. Under his leadership, the Library doubled the number of its active users.
Vadim Duda was appointed Director General of the Russian State Library on 28 August 2018.

Elena and Gennady Timchenko Charitable Foundation is one of the largest family-oriented foundations in Russia. It was created in 2010 with the aim of achieving long-term social results and uniting charitable projects of the Timchenko family. Ms. Mukhomedzhan has been working for charity since 2011. She took the deputy director position in Alisher Usmanov’s Art, Science and Sport Foundation in December 2011. The foundation has been established to assist in arranging art, culture and sports events of public significance and implementing social and scientific awareness projects in Russia.
