Employee quality of life is the foundation upon which long-term business development is based. Many companies are following current global well-being trends and actively working on corporate programmes to promote employee health. Unlike long-established occupational health measures, support of a similar kind for office workers is something new and companies are only just starting out with them. Basic office worker well-being now tends to focus on the principles of a healthy lifestyle like quality sleep, proper nutrition, physical activity, quitting smoking, stress management, and the prevention of widespread chronic diseases. Where do things stand with the development of employee health support programmes in Russia’s largest companies? How can companies create a health-friendly environment with the conditions necessary for a healthy life? How can employers work together with employees and society to create a corporate culture with a responsible attitude towards health?
