The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the role of civil society and philanthropy in confronting global challenges like never before. Socially responsible business, charitable foundations, and other organizations that provide grants from BRICS countries have made a significant contribution to bolstering the actions that countries are taking to combat the pandemic and have demonstrated their ability to quickly respond to challenges and flexibly adapt to new conditions. What are some of the common social and economic challenges that BRICS countries face? How can socially responsible businesses and philanthropic foundations most effectively engage in cross-sectoral social partnerships? How important are the Sustainable Development Goals to the international philanthropic sector? What role does digitalization play and what new opportunities does it offer for the development of philanthropy after COVID?

Experience: Irina started her career at Philip Morris Sales and Marketing in 1995, she occupied various positions in the Department of Corporate Affairs. In the period of 2008 – 2012, she was the Head of the Communications and PR Department at Tetra Pak. In February 2012 Irina returned to Philip Morris Sales and Marketing as Director for Communications and Public Relations. Since May 2017 Irina is heading the branch of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.
Irina is a member of Board of Directors in the Russian Association of Communication Directors and Corporate Publishing; she is also a member of Trustee Council of the National Award Media Manger of Russia. Irina is also heading the working group on CSR in non-commercial partnership the Association of Branded Goods Manufacturers in Russia (RUSBRAND)
Irina Zhukova has many times been rated in the top list of the Directors on corporate and public relations in the Service and Manufacturing of the Consumer Goods sector (project Top 1000 Russian Managers by business journal Kommersant and the Russian Managers Association

Sofia Malyavina

General Director, National Priorities

She graduated from the Togliatti Academy of Management with a degree in philology, in parallel she received an MBA from Michigan State University - Flint (USA), in 2010 she defended her dissertation at the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences and received a PhD in philosophy.
Sofia Malyavina has experience working with industries, energy, social services, health care, education, and science. She has successfully participated in dozens of projects, her merits include supporting industrial development strategies and infrastructure projects in the energy sector.
She considers her main achievement for 15 years of work in social communications to be the blood donation development program. After the campaign under her leadership, the institute of blood donation was actually restored in the country.
Positive social change and development is the main subject of Sofia's professional interest. She is responsible for launching and implementing Healthy Russia, a healthy lifestyle program, and Accessible Environment, a barrier-free program for people with disabilities. Today changes in society's attitudes toward unhealthy habits and healthy lifestyles, volunteerism and creating conditions for people with disabilities are already evident.
Work in the Accounts Chamber has given experience and competence in effective and transparent organization of projects.
As the executive secretary of the Council for Social Welfare Care under the Government of Russia, she worked with NGOs on organizing work to improve the regulatory framework and socially significant projects.
The key to successful communication, Sofia believes, is to believe in what you say: he who adheres to it himself can inspire people to lead healthy lifestyles. In her routine - regular runs in the park for 5 km.
She was awarded the Order of Friendship for organizing humanitarian aid to South Ossetia during the military conflict.
The main task she has set for herself as Director General of ANO National Priorities is to create honest, interesting and useful communication between the state and society, to provide opportunities and to involve as many people as possible in national projects.

Anna Nesterova

Born 25 of April 1983 in Moscow.
In 2006 Anna finished Academy of Labor and Social Relations, majoring in finance and credit.
Ph.D. in Economics.
In 2017 Anna enrolled in Moscow State University of Foreign Affairs, majoring in international economic relations.
Before 2015 Anna was engaged in the implementation of projects in the field of finance. Since 2008 was CEO and founder of the investment company Center Capital with an aggregate turnover of more than 40 billion rubles a year.
In 2015 Anna founded Global Rus Trade - the leading Russian platform for cross-border e-commerce.
Anna represents Russian federation in the working group on the digital economy of the BRICS Business Council.
She is a member of the Coordination Council and Chairman of the Committee on transfrontier e-commerce "Business Russia".
In 2015 Anna was nominated from Russia as a Woman Icon for achievements in the field of business at the APEC Gender Forum "Women as an engine of inclusive growth".
Since 2018 she represents Russia in the CICA Business Council.
She has acknowledgments for contribution to the development of SMEs from the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and for active public activities from the President of the Russian Federation.
