Today the majority of Russia's population – 70 million people – own pets. The goods and services market for pets in Russia reached RUB 800 billion. The number of projects being implemented in nutrition, animal healthcare, pet care, personalized digital services, and other related areas is growing by the day. Thus, today the question of responsible pet treatment is extremely important. What are the prospects for the functioning, development, and regulation of the breeding industry of cats, dogs and other animals in Russia? What will be new aspects of normative and legal regulation? What are the levers for communication and consolidation of citizens, government, business, public organizations, science, the expert community, and the media to promote responsible and humane attitudes toward pets?
