Partner Events

The Greater Eurasian Partnership, an initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, needs to be re-envisioned through the lens of the new geopolitical situation, with the West imposing sanctions on Russia and, by extension, on its allies and partners as well. The policy of the United States and the West aims to contain the development of this integration project, create difficulties in cooperation between Russia and China, and put up obstacles to the creation of a unified Greater Eurasia. However, in the current situation, the Greater Eurasian Partnership is precisely what could provide an effective way to protect the common economic interests of the countries of Eurasia and a platform to consolidate them to ensure a stable and secure future for both the continent as a whole and any nation on the continent. What else needs to be done to finalize the establishment and effective functioning of the Greater Eurasian Partnership in the current political and economic conditions? What are the areas in which key principles of interaction need to be developed?

Mr. Dolgov was born in 1968.
1990 — He graduated from Moscow State Institute (University) of International Relations with a major in international relations.
1990 – Diplomatic service
1990—2004 — Held a number of positions at the central administrative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and abroad.
2004—2011 — Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN in New York.
April 2011 — Commissioner of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Human Rights, Democracy and the Supremacy of Law and Ambassador at Large.
November 2011—October 2013 — Co-Chairman of the Working Group on Civil Society of the Russian-American Presidential Commission.
Mr. Dolgov is a member of the Coordinating Council of the Chairman of the Federation Council for Interaction with Civil Society Institutions, the Expert Council under the Commissioner of the Russian President for Child Rights, the Working Group under the Federation Council in charge of verifying the observance of the constitutional rights of Russian citizens to the inviolability of private life as well as personal and family privacy when processing personal data.
In 2013, he was nominated by the Russian Federation as a candidate for the post of the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities.
As of 24 November 2014, he has been a member of the Coordinating Council under the Russian President for the National Action Strategy for Children in 2012—2017.

Alexander Pankin

Responsible for issues related to Eurasian integration and economic cooperation.
Born in 1963.
1985: graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Fluent in English and Hungarian.
Since 1985: gained extensive experience working both in the Ministry’s central office and abroad.
2001-2005: Senior Adviser with Russia’s Permanent Mission to the UN and other international organisations in Geneva.
2005-2010: Deputy Director of the Department of International Organisations at the Foreign Ministry.
2010-2014: First Deputy Director of Russia’s Permanent Mission to the UN in New York.
2014-2017: Director of the Department of International Organisations at the Foreign Ministry.
Since 2016: member of the Foreign Ministry Collegium.
Since October 2017: Deputy Foreign Minister.
Awards: letters of acknowledgement from the President and the Government of the Russian Federation and departmental awards.
Holds the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, First Class (conferred on August 15, 2013).
Married, with a daughter.

Prof. Vladimir Salamatov, CSc (Tech.), DSc (Econ.), 1980: graduated from the Moscow Vehicle and Road Construction Institute in Mechanical Engineering; 1998: graduated from the Academy of Finance under the Russian Government in Credit and Finance. Corresponding Fellow of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences, Class 2 Active State Advisor of the Russian Federation, author of academic works on military economics and technical regulation, inventor, holder of patents in engineering. 1983 to 1995: research fellow. 1995 to 2004: department director, Deputy Chairman of the Board and Vice-President of commercial banks, including in Evrofinance and Vneshtorgbank. 2004 to 2008: Deputy Department Director at the Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Russian Federation. 2008: Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. 2010 to 2011: Coordinating Committee of the Customs Union (Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan and Russian Federation), in charge of technical regulation and use of sanitary, veterinary and phytosanitary measures. 2012 to 2016: Managing Director of the World Trade Centre in Moscow. Since 2016: CEO, International Trade and Integration, LLC. 2013 to 2016: Chairman, Committee for Economic Integration between SCO and CIS under the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. July 2013: Chairman, Public Board under the Federal Accreditation Service RusAccreditation. September 2013: holds the chair of international commerce at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA). 2014: recognised as CEO of the Year in the Growth Performance category of The Moscow Times Awards.
