Russia–Qatar Cultural Dialogue

04 Jun , 16:30–17:30
Qatar Pavilion, Doha Hall

The development of a particular country’s culture is inseparable from the influence of global and local trends and international cooperation. The diversity of traditions and customs today allows us to say that not only local heritage can be considered significant, but also worldwide: can we speak of a common cultural heritage for all? What means and mediums can we use to promote this idea? Over this discussion, we would like to discuss the role of universities, museums, galleries, cinemas, art fairs, festivals, and other state and private-funded entities in expanding our knowledge, deepening understanding and promoting diversity.
