West Asia and North Africa: Paths Towards Stability and Prosperity

After more than a decade of political turmoil and uncertainty, people in West Asia and North Africa are striving for a long overdue period of stability and prosperity. This goal can only be achieved by cooperation between both the internal and external actors in the region. Qatar has had a long track record of successful mediation and peacebuilding efforts, and multilateral and international cooperation has been a key factor in Qatar’s success. This stage will serve as a platform to discuss Qatar’s foreign policy, and hear first-hand from the Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs about his assessment of the challenges and opportunities facing the region.
