Over recent times, the IT sphere has become one of the fundamental elements of economic, strategic, educational and social growth. This increase in the role of information technologies could not go unnoticed. Now, to be successful in IT, more is needed than just to start working in these directions: the potential specialist must have a knowledge base satisfying industry’s requirement. The discussion will cover the education needed for working in the IT field, where to get this education, internal competition of companies, personnel and educational institutions training future specialists, as well as the requirements for working in the industry.
