Young People in the Digital World: Education, Career, Development
The world today cannot be imagined without digital technologies. The economy needs specialists who can use them for making enterprises more efficient, improving the quality of life, create new services and whole industries. It is not a matter of just future IT industry specialists: medical professionals, teachers, pilots, everyone needs digital competencies to work in the digital economy. An IT education should begin in school and continue into higher education and even beyond: any specialist needs to update their knowledge and skills regularly. Technologies are taking giant steps forward and the fashionable new lifelong learning concept is vital. Yet technology training is impossible without those who carry the knowledge and skills, without the experience of those who are always at the forefront of development of these technologies: without representatives of the IT industry. So a symbiosis of the education system and industry is the most efficient way to achieve the set goals, all that is left to do is organize co-operation on this issue between the state and businesses. It is also important that the education system itself change: technological development, catalysed by the pandemic, led to broad use of digital technologies in the educational process, this also being a potential growth point.
