Governors’ Club

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly spoken of the need to achieve sovereignty in all spheres from culture to economy. Today, Russia is actively pursuing this path and integrating the principle of sovereignty into governance strategies at the federal and regional levels. The primary economic challenges following the imposition of Western sanctions have been overcome, and the next stage is to build sovereignty in key socio-economic areas.
Independence in the context of autonomy from external shocks is becoming a managerial benchmark for Russia's regions. It is based on the ability to be self-sufficient and to launch competitive projects in the economy, science and high technology. During a discussion at the Governors Club, heads of regions and federal experts will discuss the following topical aspects:
• The foundations of economic system sustainability after overcoming the first sanctions costs: a view from the regions • The digital rouble as an instrument of the country's financial and technological sovereignty
• "High technologies" as a space for cooperation between the state and business
• Digitalisation of the public sector as a step towards greater efficiency and targeting of regional governance
• Principles of sovereign-social development of the country in the regional context
• Development of Russian science under new conditions: maintaining and multiplying the momentum

From 2006 to 2011 – held several positions in the Presidential Executive Office.
From 2012 to 2019 – Council chair of the GLONASS non-profit partnership.
From 2012 to 2019 – held several positions in the Executive Office of the Government of the Russian Federation.
On March 20, 2019 President of the Russian Federation appointed Mr.Khorokhordin as the interim Head of the Altai Republic. On September 8, 2019 he was elected as the Head of the Altai Republic.
