‘Ensuring Drug Security’ Russian Pharmaceutical Forum, the main business event of the pharmaceutical industry, will take place for the fourth time on 18 June 2025, the opening day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The 'Ensuring Drug Security' Russian Pharmaceutical Forum has been recognized as a leading industry platform for bringing together domestic and international pharmaceutical and medical companies, representatives of relevant government agencies, and members of the scientific and expert community. The Forum serves as a venue for discussing key industry topics and making decisions on sector modernization, including ensuring continuous drug supply, developing pharmaceutical regulatory policies, pricing, import substitution strategies for medicines, and international cooperation in healthcare and the trade of pharmaceutical and medical products.
FORUM OBJECTIVES

Unite the efforts of the government and businesses to develop concrete steps toward achieving national drug security.

Develop proposals to achieve Russia’s technological leadership in medicine and pharmaceuticals as part of new national projects.

Discuss the effectiveness of strategies supporting full-cycle domestic pharmaceutical manufacturers and increasing trust in national pharmaceutical products.

Promote the implementation of mechanisms that stimulate an innovative development scenario for the Russian pharmaceutical industry.

Define future development trajectories for the pharmaceutical sector in the context of modern challenges.

Assess the effectiveness of and propose improvements to the drug supply system for specific categories of citizens in the new economic conditions.
OUTCOMES OF THE FORUM 2024
The ‘Ensuring Drug Security’ Russian Pharmaceutical Forum took place on the opening day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The business programme of the Drug Security Forum included 14 expert discussions attended by over 140 experts.
In addition, a round table was held for BRICS regulators of the circulation of medical products, who also took part in a meeting with representatives of the pharmaceutical industry.
Leading experts in various fields held a professional dialogue about ways to develop the pharmaceutical and medical industry, including:
- the main focuses of pharmaceutical development in 2024
- new opportunities to achieve medicinal sovereignty
- the development of aesthetic medicine and cosmetic industry
- promising trends in the development of clinical research in Russia and abroad
- international cooperation in healthcare and the trade of pharmaceutical and medical products
As in previous years, the Healthy Life Area was presented at SPIEF, where key healthcare industry players showcased breakthrough technological projects and innovative developments.
In 2024, the Healthy Life stand was designed as a unified innovative digital space, integrating cutting-edge healthcare technologies, digital solutions, advancements in artificial intelligence, medical science, and longevity technologies.

Participants of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) can access the ‘Ensuring Drug Security’ Forum with their participant badge, without the need for additional registration.
HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE IN THE FORUM?
1. SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO PARTICIPATE
If you wish to take part in the Forum, please log in to your Roscongress personal account. You need to select the ‘Participant of SPIEF events’ package.
2. RECEIVE AN INVITATION
Your application will be reviewed by the Forum Organizing Committee. If your application is approved, you will receive an invitation to the Forum and your application status will be updated in real-time in the ‘My events’ section of your Roscongress personal account.
The review process varies by applicant but can take up to 10 days. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject an application without justification.
3. CONFIRMING YOUR ATTENDANCE
Once you have received an invitation, please confirm your participation by going to the ‘My events – SPIEF 2025 – Event dashboard’ section of your account.
How do I decline to participate in the Forum?
If you have received an invitation but have decided not to attend the event, or have previously confirmed your participation but no longer plan to attend, please decline your participation:
- Roscongress personal account
- by informing the Roscongress Foundation specialist
4. PAY THE PARTICIPATION FEE
To pay for participation in the Forum, participants must sign an agreement or issue an invoice agreement, which acts as a confirmation and guarantee of participation. The date of payment shall be considered to be the date on which the funds reach the account of the Roscongress Foundation.
6. PICK UP YOUR BADGE
An accreditation badge is a pass to the Forum.
