The practice of having the Russian President set long-term national development goals, which goes back to 2020, has proven effective, with the new May Decree extending strategic planning to 2036. Quality of life and life expectancy, territorial development, technological sovereignty and digital transformation, import substitution, more opportunities for SMEs, and more support for human resources have all made it onto the state’s big agenda, showing business and society the way forward. How can big companies be better integrated into the big agenda to strengthen and develop their reputation in the face of this complex geopolitical environment and growing expectations on the part of the state towards big players? What approaches are currently being employed to prevent or minimize communication crises with regulators as arbitrator or stakeholder?
