Intellectual property is a key factor in the development of a high-tech economy. In recent years, amidst intense market competition and the need to achieve the country’s technological independence, this understanding has come to the forefront. This is demonstrated, among other things, by governmental efforts aimed at transforming the business climate, the introduction of new support measures to stimulate innovation and the commercialization of new inventions. Furthermore, there has been a significant increase in investment in intellectual property and an increase in the volume of intangible assets held by Russian companies. What changes in regulation and practices are currently needed at the current stage? Which sectors will need structural transformation and investment to ensure positive indicators for innovative development, technological sovereignty of the country, global fame, and sustainable demand for Russian brands?
