Development of Russia’s regions and other BRICS countries to be discussed at Xiamen business forum on 4 September 2017

The business forum ‘Regional Economic Growth Led by BRICS Cooperation’ will be held on 4 September in the run-up to the BRICS Summit in Xiamen (PRC). Issues concerning the development of Russia’s regions and other BRICS countries will be discussed at the event.

The business forum, which will continue a discussion that began during panel sessions at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) and the series of ‘Russian Regions: New Growth Points’ sessions organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the Russian Export Center, will be attended by representatives of the regions, major business associations as well as leading companies and structures that aim to enhance economic interaction and develop mutual trade between BRICS countries.

The event participants will be able to continue their dialogue concerning the investment potential of BRICS countries as part of SPIEF visiting sessions in Astrakhan (13 September 2017), Irkutsk (27–28 September 2017), Kaliningrad (23 October–3 November 2017), Kaluga (November–December 2017), Tula (December 2017) and a separate session as part of the 6th Murmansk International Business Week (15 November 2017).
