Austrian Chancellor Christian Kern to take part in SPIEF 2017

Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Kern will take part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (June 1–3), according to Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, who noted that the chancellor will have a “very extensive and interesting programme”.

Peskov also noted that other high-profile SPIEF guests will also include Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, and other foreign representatives.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place under the theme ‘Achieving a New Balance on the Global Stage’.

The discussions will focus on five main pillars: ‘Dynamics of the Global Economy’, ‘Russian Economic Agenda’, ‘Embracing Tech Disruptors’, ‘Focus on the Human Factor’, and ‘Foresight Series’.
