Maria Zakharova to Meet with Foreign Journalists on SPIEF Sidelines
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova will hold a business breakfast entitled ‘Foreign Media Agents in Russia’ on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. This event will address the work of international media and journalists in Russia, as well as legislation concerning media with the status of foreign media agents.
This business breakfast will be attended by media experts, Russian and foreign journalists, as well as representatives of the foreign media agents.
“A certain number of media with the status of foreign media agents do not label their materials, though it is prescribed by Russian law. At the same time, labelling helps the audience understand who paid for the so called ‘alternative points of view’,” emphasized Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
During the breakfast, participants will get practical information on the accreditation procedure for foreign journalists and ground rules for international media operation in the Russian Federation. Speakers will also answer questions of the business breakfast attendees.
