Khabarovsk Region to showcase projects worth more than RUB 97 billion at SPIEF 2016

Khabarovsk RegionGovernor VyacheslavShport announced today:“The Khabarovsk Regionis planning to present eight investment projects at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, including large projects on a regional scale and medium-sized projects planned for advanced special economic zonesin our region. The projects are worth a combined RUB 97.340 billion”. The biggest projectsnamed by the region’s head include construction of a coal transshipment transport and loading facility at the Vanino seaport on the northern shore of Muchke Bay (OOO Sakhatrans, project budget: RUB 30.6 billion) and a section between kilometres 13 and 42 of the Khabarovsk bypass highway (Khabarovsk RegionGovernment, RUB 37.96 billion). Some of the investment projects are intended for the Khabarovsk advanced special economic zone(Khabarovsk Steel Melting Plant, OOO Torex, RUB 4.5 billion) and the Komsomolsk advanced special economic zone(an aircraft component factory, OOO Epsilon-2–GK Energiya,RUB 8.8 billion), TASS reported. Investment proposals to be presented by the Khabarovsk Regionin St. Petersburg also include an upgrade of the manufacturing facilities of the DalenergomashGroup (RUB 1.3 billion), the Noni mining and enrichment complex(OOONoni, RUB 2.2 billion) and amining and enrichment combine based at the Durmin deposit (East Mining Company Limited, RUB 3.7 billion). Yet another project to be offered to investors at SPIEF involves construction of a cement plant at the Nilansky limestone deposit and the Sokdyukansky clay raw materials deposit in the Polina Osipenko District (Khabarovsk Territory Natural Resources Ministry, RUB 7.68 billion). The smallest project in terms of proposed investment on the Khabarovsk Regionlist is a micro-plant to manufacture metal products for use in construction (OOOTransMonolitService, RUB 600 million). The 20th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place on June,16–18 at a new venue in Shushary near St. Petersburg. The Forum is organized by the state-owned Roscongress Foundation established last year. Key topics for discussion at the Forum include the new economic reality and the search for new growth drivers. Governor VyacheslavShport will lead the Khabarovsk Region’s delegation at the Forum.
