International Youth Economic Forum Releases Business Programme

The business programme of the International Youth Economic Forum has been released on the official SPIEF 2021 website. The Forum includes more than 20 events, including business and networking sessions, as well as a mentoring lounge.

Much of the expert discussions will be devoted to entrepreneurial issues. In particular, the participants will look at environmental entrepreneurship as a growth driver in the green economy as well as the development of virtual international export centres. In the ‘Intellectual Property: New Opportunities for Youth Entrepreneurship’ session, young inventors, scientists, and experts will discuss challenges facing the high-tech sector.

The ‘Youth Social Projects for the Sustainable Development of Regions’ session will present best practices for identifying ideas for socially significant projects among students, including projects that are developed for national priorities and have already been put into operation at the level of regional administrations. The ‘Creating Inclusive Startups’ session is also devoted to social entrepreneurship. Participants in the ‘Entrepreneurs of the 21st Century: Real Values of the New Times’ will discuss the new trend of social entrepreneurship, volunteering, charity, and environmental protection.

One of the pillars for the successful development of business among young entrepreneurs is the ability to build promising and profitable connections on the labour market. The International Youth Economic Forum traditionally provides ample opportunities to establish new contacts and network. Networking is a great way to meet potential partners and like-minded people, exchange experience, and put existing business communication skills into practice. The event programme offers a unique format of synergy for managed networking and education.

A mentoring lounge will be available to young entrepreneurs on the Forum’s sidelines. “In the process of building their first business, entrepreneurs realize rather quickly that the theoretical knowledge they have gained is a solid foundation, but is not sufficient for building successful business processes. A lack of practical skills and work experience in business structures is the main challenge that up-and-coming businessmen face. Participating in the International Youth Economic Forum offers a unique chance for young entrepreneurs to present their projects to experienced mentors and obtain practical advice on further business development,” Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Director Alexander Bugayev said.

The International Youth Economic Forum will take place on 5 June 2021 during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. It will be attended by government officials, prominent businessmen, and public figures. The event is being organized by the Roscongress Foundation, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, and the Centre for Assistance to Young Professionals.
