Leaders of Russia Contest Winners to Take Part in SPIEF

Winners of the Leaders of Russia 2018–2019 contest will take part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on 6–8 June 2019

“I am confident that the winners and participants of the Leaders of Russia contest, many of whom already hold positions of responsibility and are regarded as part of the executive candidate pool, will have a significant impact on the development of domestic business, the country’s regions, and even entire sectors of the domestic economy in coming years. So it is very important to involve them in discussions with leading Russian and foreign managers in order to work on sustainable development issues. The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is an excellent platform for this”, Adviser to the Russian President and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov said.

The contest was held for the second time in 2018–2019 and received approximately 230,000 applications for participation. A total of 300 finalists received educational grants for RUB 1 million, and 104 winners had the opportunity to personally interact with mentors from among the country’s leading managers over the course of the year, including heads of federal ministries and agencies, heads of the regions of the Russian Federation, senior executives from state corporations, publicly owned companies, and private business, politicians, and public figures.

The Roscongress Foundation previously had the winners of the Leaders of Russia 2017–2018 contest participate in sessions of the Eastern Economic Forum and the 2018 St. Petersburg Economic Forum.

The Leaders of Russia contest, the flagship project of the Russia – Land of Opportunity autonomous non-profit organization, is held based on direct instructions from Russian President Vladimir Putin and is designed to create truly functional social elevators for the country’s active citizens. The purpose of the contest is to identify strong managers with serious career aspirations and provide them with opportunities for realization and development.
