Vladimir Putin invited Tokayev to take part in SPIEF

Vladimir Putin announced that he had invited Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to attend the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) as one of his main guests.

Putin thanked Tokayev for supporting Moscow’s bid to host World Expo 2030 and also mentioned the Russian Federation’s appreciation for Kazakhstan’s willingness to serve as a partner country in the International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM, which is traditionally held in Ekaterinburg.

“I would also like to mention that during the talks, I invited the president of Kazakhstan to take part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum this June as one of our main guests. We hope that he will accept our invitation. We always look forward to welcoming a substantial contingent of Kazakh politicians, businessmen, and public figures at the St. Petersburg Forum,” Putin said during a press conference following the negotiations between Russia and Kazakhstan.
