The Halal Industry: Prospects and Accomplishments

16 Jun , 09:00–10:00
The World Economy at a Global Turning Point
Congress Centre, zone B, 2nd floor, conference hall B3

In the current realities of the global economy, there has been a significant increase in trade and financial turnover in the halal sphere. With the world economy becoming more integrated due to globalization, it is crucial for the Russian Federation to develop cooperation in the halal sector with the countries of the Islamic world for mutual benefit and to sustain the halal market for profitable trade. Russian agro-industrial products have substantial potential for expanding exports to member countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), thereby broadening the range and geographical reach of product supplies. Compliance with the stringent requirements and criteria of halal, as well as the appropriate quality and labelling recognised by foreign buyers, is a critical factor in operating in OIC markets with a well-established halal industry. What are the estimated results of the development of Russia's halal industry for the years 2020-2022? What innovations are being implemented in the halal industry in the UAE? What is the strategy for the development of the halal industry? What valuable experiences can be taken from foreign countries? What are the opportunities for exporting Russian halal products to OIC countries? What practical opportunities exist for effectively using the potential of Russian producers in the halal industry?
