Adolescent Employment in an Era of Challenges and Transformations

17 Jun , 14:00–15:15
International Youth Economic Forum
Pavilion G, conference hall G5

In an era of challenges for and transformations of the labour market, the early recruitment of young people into strategically important industries is a crucial resource for ensuring Russia’s sustainability and socio-economic development. A number of projects aimed at organizing the employment of adolescents in pilot regions are currently being implemented. A key component of the development of this area is not only the creation of the conditions required for the employment of adolescents, but also a comprehensive rethinking of the role of adolescents in today’s economy. What systemic changes are required to recruit adolescents to strategically important areas of Russia’s economic activity? What support mechanisms are required for employers to participate in the implementation of measures to support the assisted employment of adolescents, the development of youth enterprise and youth self-employment? How does this area fit into the social accountability of business and the ESG strategy of companies? How should we evaluate the efforts of business to promote the organization and development of adolescent employment?
