Wooden construction in Russia has rich history and dates back more than a millennium. Wood was used to build everything and for centuries. For example, a dwelling house was designed for at least 100 years, and churches for 200-300 years.
Nowadays, among other countries, we do not have the highest indicators in the field of wooden housing construction but there is a positive dynamic. In 2021, according to Rosstat, 10.8 million square meters of wooden properties were built, in 2022 the number increased till 14.2 million square meters. In 2023, the trend continues, and in 2024, experts predict even higher growth.
The development of wooden housing construction is one of the strategic directions to expand the domestic consumption market, which entails the development of related industries, the creation of new jobs, an increase in budget revenues, the solution of housing problems, and the provision of sustainable development of territories.

Born on June 18, 1968 in Moscow.

Education:
From 1986, worked at the Department of Moscow Aviation Institute.
In 1996, graduated from Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) majoring in Aviation Engines and Energy Installations. In 2001, graduated from Russian Academy of State Service under the President of the Russian Federation, majoring in Law.

Professional activity:
Since 1990, occupied the position of Deputy Director for Production in a commercial structure.
Since 1996, Deputy Director of the Moscow Rescue Service.
He was elected four times (in 1997, 2001, 2005 and 2009) to Moscow City Duma in one-candidate constituency.
From August 2014 until February 2017, he was at the lead of Moscow Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship.
On February 22, 2017, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

Graduated from the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation in 1993 as a leading specialist in the field of enterprise management.

From 2000 to 2003, Deputy General Director for house construction at Sokol Woodworking Company OJSC.

From 2003 to 2005 - senior manager of house-building department of the National Forestry Industrial Company CJSC.

From 2005 to 2007 - commercial director of CJSC National Timber Industry Company "NLC Domostroenie".

From 2007 to the present - Head of "NLC Domostroenie", Head of Moscow representative office of OJSC "Sokolsky DOK".

Since 2010 up to the present time - Head of House-Building Department of CJSC Investlesprom.

Director of strategic development of the Wooden Housing Association.
