What holds back the consumption of quality wine in the Russian Federation? The main factors. A conversation between Igor Serdyuk and Alexei Plotnikov.
It is no secret that today the consumption of quality Russian wines is restrained by a certain number of factors.
Among them, of course, is the level of wine culture of the population, the economic situation, the direct dependence on the level of income, and a number of other issues, which can be dealt with.
In this context we speak about asymmetric information: the two sides of the deal have different amount of information about the product, and if a producer is sure about the quality and demand for the wines, the buyer has not enough information to make a purchase.
Restriction of the information field, imperfection of the law on wine and on advertising and even overproduction of wine in the world are all factors, which definitely do not contribute to the growth of consumption of Russian wines of excellent quality.
Why do consumers prefer imported wines? How to establish effective communication with the buyer? Will it help to establish wine sales through the Internet?
