Primary healthcare needs to become more productive to achieve Russia’s national goal of increasing life expectancy. The universal introduction of information technologies, monitoring doctor’s appointments, and the transition to electronic document management should help improve the efficiency of medical organizations that provide primary healthcare and the availability of medical care. Additional measures need to be taken today to address the problem of uneven digitalization throughout the industry, which is further complicated by the digital divide between Russia’s regions. With the digital transformation of the healthcare sector, there is a separate segment that has not been covered by the total computerization of the pre-medical healthcare system (health centres, village first aid stations, and prevention centres). Modern digital and technological approaches to organizing the work of the pre-medical primary healthcare system will ensure constant monitoring of changes in each person’s health parameters during preventive medical examinations, and big data can help obtain information about the population’s health. Armais Kamalov’s scientific research focuses on urology, andrology and fundamental medicine. He is the author of many research papers, including monographs, textbooks, books, manuals, and patents for inventions. In 1992, he passed Candidate’s thesis defence, in 1998 – PhD thesis defence. Both focused on scientific rationale and introduction of radically new endoscopic methods of treatment of urological diseases.
Many years of scientific research and medical practice Armais Kamalov devoted to the development and implementation of high-tech minimally invasive methods of diagnosis and treatment of urological diseases, which significantly improved the outcome of treatment of many urological disorders.
In recent years, he has been devoting much attention to establishing a new medicine based on an interdisciplinary approach to solving men's health problems and improving reproductive health. Through his direct involvement, the organization of a programme to protect the health of the male population, including the setting up specialized medical clinics was successfully implemented in the regions of the Russian Federation.
