Mr. Jennings is responsible for the overall strategic direction of Renaissance Group and its companies: Renaissance Capital, Renaissance Asset Managers, Renaissance Credit, Renaissance Partners, and Renaissance Advisors. The Firm, under Mr. Jennings’ leadership for more than 15 years, has expanded its geographies to become a leading investor in emerging and frontier market economies, with a focus on Russia/CIS, Africa and Asia. Mr. Jennings provides the vision for Renaissance's new market architecture, which has positioned the Firm to capitalise on the fundamental shift of financial opportunity from developed markets to emerging markets. Prior to establishing Renaissance Capital, Mr. Jennings served as Co-Head of Credit Suisse First Boston in Moscow (CSFB) from 1992 to 1995. Before coming to Russia in 1992, Mr. Jennings was with CSFB in London. Prior to that, he worked for CSFB and the Treasury in New Zealand, advising the New Zealand and Australian governments. Mr. Jennings earned his bachelor's degree in Business Studies at Massey University and holds an M. Phil. in Economics with first-class honours from the University of Auckland.

Nikolai has led Nordgold’s management team since the company’s inception in 2007. Previously, he worked for the Russian steel company Severstal and was head of Severstal Resources’ gold division, which was subsequently spun off as Nordgold. Earlier, he covered the mining sector at New York and Moscow offices of McKinsey & Company. Nikolai holds a Master of Technical Sciences degree from St. Petersburg State Technical University (Russia, 1996), a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from the University of Texas (USA, 1999), and an MBA from Vanderbilt University (USA, 2001).

Mark Cutifani was appointed as CEO and director of AngloGold Ashanti in Sep 2007, the world’s 3-largest gold producer and largest independent mining company in Africa. A mining engineer by training, Mark has experience across the mining industry since 1976 in different commodity groups in 5 continents. He led AGA in its separation from Anglo American with the most significant restructuring since inception, and the company posted noteworthy improvements in business performance across the global mining industry in the past decade. He was COO of CVRD Inco in Toronto & COO of Inco Ltd. Mark is VPSA Chamber of Mines, Executive member of Business Leadership South Africa and is the designated spokesman for health reform in SA. He sits on advisory committees of the University of Pretoria & Cape Town in SA; Brazil’s Fundação Dom Cabral, the Kellogg Graduate School of Management & Earth Institute at Columbia University in the US. He is an Executive Committee member & treasurer of the International Council on Mining & Metals (ICMM), Board member of the World Gold Council, Member of Mining & Metals Steering Board and is a Governor of the Mining & Metals Industry Programme for the WEForum.
