St. Petersburg premiere screening of the documentary “Blind on Mount Elbrus”

Everyone who has experienced conquering uncharted horizons respects Mount Elbrus, from seasoned hikers to novice tourists. Climbing this mountain is a challenge even for an experienced alpinist. Now imagine what then awaits a blind daredevil who dares to battle this gigantic peak.
On 16 June at 19:00, as part of the “Special View” programme to support people with visual impairments, founded by the Art Science and Sport charitable foundation, “Blind on Mount Elbrus” will be shown for the first time on the New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre. Made by blind blogger and traveller Ivan Erkhov, “Blind on Mount Elbrus” tells the story of how a blind man conquered Mount Elbrus. His team will present the story of the conquest of Europe's highest peak to the audience in St. Petersburg.
Everyone is welcome to attend, subject to pre-registration. Participants in this inclusive event will have the opportunity to talk to the filmmakers, ask questions and, most importantly, be inspired and energized. The film will be shown with subtitles and audio description. The New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre is fully accessible to people with disabilities.
