BRICS: On the Verge of Change
In the context of the growing uncertainty, constant change and global instability that accompanies global political and economic processes, the BRICS countries are demonstrating a strong desire to strengthen BRICS as a cooperative format. The current international situation requires the BRICS countries to respond to new challenges, including the economic crisis, threats to food security, and climate change. Simultaneously, the importance of the BRICS+ dialogue, which promotes the principles of multilateral and multipolar diplomacy in addressing key challenges, is increasing. A growing number of countries are expressing interest in joining the BRICS+ dialogue. In 2022, Algeria, Argentina, and Iran applied to join BRICS.
