In the context of the growing uncertainty, constant change and global instability that accompanies global political and economic processes, the BRICS countries are demonstrating a strong desire to strengthen BRICS as a cooperative format. The current international situation requires the BRICS countries to respond to new challenges, including the economic crisis, threats to food security, and climate change. Simultaneously, the importance of the BRICS+ dialogue, which promotes the principles of multilateral and multipolar diplomacy in addressing key challenges, is increasing. A growing number of countries are expressing interest in joining the BRICS+ dialogue. In 2022, Algeria, Argentina, and Iran applied to join BRICS. Additionally, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Kazakhstan have announced plans to submit applications, indicating the growing appeal of the group in the global economy. What are the prospects for the expansion of BRICS and to what extent can the cooperation agenda change? Which initiatives should serve as drivers for BRICS development and strengthen the partnership among participating countries? What role can women leaders in BRICS play in shaping and implementing the development agenda, and how can this role be further expanded?
