Comprising over one quarter of the world’s population and stretching over half of Asia, the SCO has laid down a strong foundation of political and security relations amongst its members, underpinned by numerous intergovernmental agreements. There is a growing interest in expanding this platform into the economic realm, increasing trade and investment activities while facilitating closer business ties.
