This has led to the emergence of competing ecosystems, which have endeavoured to build brand affinity for their products. That said, rapid technological development (particularly in the digital sector) has paved the way for a possible integration of different business ecosystems. To what extent is this realistic? Might it be possible to create a single value proposition by an entire industry, rather than a specific company? Will technological development help achieve this aim?
