Sustainable Development
Pavilion H, Governors’ Club: Dialogues
Partner: Chuvash Republic

An effective regional policy is based on mutually beneficial cooperation between public authorities, scientific and educational institutions, the business environment and the population, which contributes to an increase in the intensity and effectiveness of business, increases innovation activity and leads to sustainable economic growth of the territory.
An effective tool to achieve this goal is the "green" economy. Sustainable development is considered today as a vector of movement towards the set strategic goals, as an effective anti-crisis tool that helps to ensure technological sovereignty, localize production processes, and rebuild supply chains.
Indicative in this regard is the example of the Chuvash Republic, which is among the 11 regions of the country that put these ideas into practice. In 2023, the Republic adopted the Concept of Sustainable Development, which is based on the principles of efficient use of the limited resources of the region, assessment of risks and opportunities associated with climate change, attitude towards the environment, and will determine the economic and financial agenda of Chuvashia.

Issues for discussion:
• The role of regions in shaping the concept of sustainable development. A conceptual and integrated approach to a green economy
• Cooperation between business and government. Actual challenges of our time
• Regional economy: from adaptation to growth
• Resource management
• Improving the quality of life of the population
