Let us not forget that globalization is not only fraught with much-publicized risks, but also presents opportunities. We cannot survive without global trade.
Alexey Mordashov
Chairman of the Board of Directors, Severstal
As a business, we should not simply demand open markets and turn a blind eye to the challenge of globalization. We need to contribute to a future orientated and sustainable world economy.
Jurgen Heraeus
Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Heraeus Holding GmbH; Chairman, B20 Presidency of the Federal Republic of Germany
We must work with all stakeholders to make sure that society is also receptive to proposals from business.
Alexander Shokhin
President, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP)
In my opinion, the role of G20 and that of business must change. In fact, the world is entering a phase of serious technological transformations that pose challenges for all markets, for the global economy – for all of us. Business should make its position on those challenges and its responses to them clear to the G20 leaders.
Arkady Dvorkovich
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation
Business should help G20 increase its influence on global policy, naturally by using the UN tools established by international agreements.
Arkady Dvorkovich
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation
Companies really have to take responsibility not only for customers, for employees, for shareholders but also for the communities in which they operate. This is not only about corporate social responsibility and marketing.
Hans-Paul Buerkner
