Programme

2019 has been proclaimed by the UN General Assembly as the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements. This large-scale event is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the discovery of the Periodic Law of Chemical Elements by the great Russian scientist D.I. Mendeleev and is held under the auspices of UNESCO in many countries of the world - Russia, France, Spain, Sweden, Japan and others.

One of the key events of the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements in Russia will be the XXI Mendeleev Congress on General and Applied Chemistry. It will be held in St. Petersburg from September 9 to September 13, 2019. The XXI Mendeleev Congress was included in the National Project for Science under “Development of Scientific and Manufacturing Collaboration.”

Ms. Mukhomedzhan has been working for charity since 2011. She took the deputy director position in Alisher Usmanov’s Art, Science and Sport Foundation in December 2011. The foundation has been established to assist in arranging art, culture and sports events of public significance and implementing social and scientific awareness projects in Russia.
